JBS Sea Axe Controlled Flow Excavation (CFE) equipment completed the nearshore UK operations, for two separate cables, on the Greenlink Interconnector.
The project is being carried out at two locations – Ireland and Wales.
The Welsh phase has been completed using the vessel Forth Warrior. Phase 2 mobilising from Ireland will utilise the vessel TSV Symphony.
Greenlink is a subsea and underground electricity interconnector linking the power markets in Ireland and Great Britain. It is one of Europe’s most important energy infrastructure projects.
Greenlink brings significant benefits on both sides of the Irish Sea for energy security and the integration of low carbon energy sources.
